Can't believe I've lived in kittery for almost 10 years and this was my first visit. We came pretty late at night and got a seat immediately. The food was incredible and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great night, they let my friend sample wine and we tried a few appetizers, duck, fritters and deviled eggs. The cod entrée with risotto was a must experience meal. It was quiet and an absolutely great girls night out. Our new go-to

Came here on a recommendation. Glad we listened! Nice little spot with bar and table seating. Food was great, and my old fashioned hit the spot. Shawn was awesome, and the vintage vinyl records playing were on point! Go check this place out!

Did I basically drive from New Jersey for deviled eggs at The Black Birch? Sure did. I’ve loved this gem of a restaurant since I lived in Boston 10 years ago. It’s consistently fantastic - great cocktails, great entrees. Don’t skip the deviled eggs, they are the best.

Absolutely amazing food. One of the best fish and chips we've had in all our years in America. We tend to order it whenever it is on the menu because we enjoyed it often living in New Zealand. The batter is crispy and thin and the cod is soft. The mussels were very good as well,, nice size and plump and cooked to perfection (mussels are also another food we are snobs about coming from New Zealand). We also had the strip steak which had these amazing radishes. The portions were just right and the price is very reasonable and the wait staff is very attentive and helpful with the beer recommendations. We will come back here the next time we come up to Maine!

No reservations but worth the wait! Everything on the menu sounded delicious, and everything we ordered was just that. The cocktail menu was inventive, the draft list was extensive and had a little bit of everything. We sat at the bar and had a great bartender. The atmosphere is cozy with soft light and a wide range of fun music played from vinyl. If you get the chance, I highly recommend going.

Friends from Portsmouth recommended this place. We went with another couple. The place is very popular -- they don't take reservations and it took about 45 minutes to get a table on a Friday night. It was well worth the wait. We got drinks at the bar next door while we waited, which was great. The restaurant called us when the table was ready. Excellent, delicious, interesting dishes, great drinks, great seafood options, fantastic tapas style menu, excellent service (attentive without being annoying), fun atmosphere. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommended for an elevated meal and experience.

Sat at the bar and had the best experience! Al the bartender made me two cocktails off the menu that were both delicious. The records they were playing created a great vibe & the lighting was just right. We shared a couple of appetizers that were spot on. Deviled eggs are a must.

I ordered a tributary without realizing there were three styles on the menu, server correctly guessed which one I'd intended to order. It paired perfectly with my fish and chips main. We started with the gnocchi, which were excellent as well. Would definitely revisit

I came here with family for my birthday. The menu is small but with small you often get better food. This was my first time here and my family has been here often. The menu is broken up in "Smaller" and "Larger" plates. I actually went with saffron risotto a vegan plate and I'm not vegan. It was delicious and it filled me up. I have a very healthy appetite and this left me satisfied. There is a big selection of craft beers and they make a decent cocktail. View the menu online and you'll find the comfort food you want to try. Friendly servers and a good crowd of customers. I would say this is geared more towards adults as far as food and the patrons.
